WHAT IS OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Occupational Therapy is a client-centred health profession concerned with promoting health and well-being through independence in every-day activities, ie. ‘occupations’.

Paediatric OTs support children and young people by enabling them to perform and participate to their optimal potential at school and at home. OT can help kids with various needs improve their cognitive, physical, sensory, and motor skills, while enhancing their self-esteem and confidence levels.

Sometimes it is difficult to know why a child is having challenges with one or more areas of their learning or behaviour and therefore the best way to help. At Thrive, we concentrate on uncovering the root cause of your child’s difficulties – by understanding the ‘why’ we can guide you in where to start addressing these challenges. Our goal is to partner with you in helping to make life and learning easier and more enjoyable for your child 🙂
