ABOUT THRIVE

Paediatric Occupational Therapist and director of Thrive is Katrina Grimes, a professional who has worked with children and young people for more than 20 years. As the mother of three active sons, Katrina also understands the challenges families face.

Determined to bring both a quality family-centred service, as well as cutting-edge neuroscience principles to her OT interventions, Katrina started Thrive in 2011 after visiting and finding inspiration from, the Arrowsmith School in Toronto, Canada.

Her years of private practice and community health work has seen Katrina in clinic-based work, as well as in many public and private schools in northern Sydney. This vast experience has afforded her the privilege of supporting numerous children and young people with learning and attention challenges, as well as working alongside teachers and other professionals.

Katrina has a particular interest in neuroscience and whole-brain learning and bringing research to practice. By combining educational and therapeutic tools, she is passionate about helping to make learning easier for your child. Through partnering with you, she is dedicated to helping your child grow their learning capacity and so more fully reach their potential.

Thrive offers individual assessment and treatment sessions in the school or clinic setting. Appointments may be claimed through private health funds and Medicare.*
